MIS Camping Rules and Regulations

Welcome Race Fans! REMEMBER: DON'T MOVE FIREWOOD!

For those of you packing up your campers and rvs for a weekend of camping around MIS, please remember don't move non-coniferous (hardwood) firewood during the racing season.

To prevent the further spread of Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), Michigan has revised its quarantine prohibiting the movement of all non-coniferous (hardwood) firewood out of the Lower Peninsula into surrounding states or the Upper Peninsula.

Don't be responsible for the spread of this pest into your home state or other areas of Michigan by moving non-coniferous (hardwood) firewood. Please buy your firewood locally, burn it all on site or leave it behind. DON'T TAKE IT WITH YOU - IT'S AGAINST THE LAW!

• All infield guests will have access to showers, restrooms, dump stations and fresh water (no hookups).
  
• The infield opens Thursday afternoon approximately 1 hour after on-track activities.
  
• Limited overnight parking for additional vehicles is available near the M-50 Crossover for $25 per vehicle.
  
  Infield Site Pricing: 15 x 40 (size approx)
  
• Limit of one (1) infield site per household
  
• Interior Sites $150
  
• Guardrail Sites $200
  
  Admissions: Per person weekend ticket required
  
• $85 - 2008 Deadlines are May 12 (June) and July 14 (August)
  (Must have reserved infield site to purchase)
  
• $100 - Crossover weekend price
  (Must be in vehicle with site pass when crossing over into the infield to purchase)

  (General admission, anyone can purchase, not sold in advance)
  
• Children 12 and under admitted free
  
• Grandstand tickets are not good for infield admission
  

• Pets are not allowed in any of the MIS Campgrounds (boarding available near track)
  
• Sites are sold on a reserved basis
  
• Resale of Vehicle Pass is prohibited
  
• Vehicle Pass must be displayed at all times
  
• No fireworks, large bonfires or pit fires allowed
  
• No swimming/wading pools
  
• Horseshoes prohibited
  
• Fires must be 10 feet from any vehicle or structure
  
• "Quiet Time" after midnight will be enforced
  
• For safety, please mark tent and awning stakes
  
• Speed limit is 10 mph
  
• Fire lanes must remain open at all times
  
• No parking within 50 feet of water stations
  
• No vending without MIS vendor permit
  
• No super soakers, water balloon launchers, spotlights, laser pointers or other items that pose a danger to surrounding guests (these items are subject to confiscation and may not be returned)
  
• No motorcycles, semi-trailers, off road vehicles, ATVs or rental trucks allowed
  
• NO PRIVATE GOLF CARTS ALLOWED
  
• For safety reasons, reflectors are requested on bicycles
  
• Offensive signs, drunkenness and profanity WILL NOT be tolerated
  
• Activities that disturb the rights of other campers will not be tolerated
  
• Interfering with and/or obstructing track officials or security can result in ejection, forfeiture of tickets and prosecution
  
• One infield campsite per household on NASCAR NEXTEL Cup weekends
  
• One vehicle per campsite
